Macleod Vegie Swap
Macleod Vegie Swap resumes 16th January
3rd Saturday of each month, MOCG, 11am – 12 noon
It has been a long while since we have run a vegie swap but we believe we can safely begin again this month. Out of an abundance of caution, it will be held at the Macleod Organic Community Garden where we are best able to ensure COVID safe practices are observed. Produce will be laid out on a series of long tables to avoid the crowding that occurs at the rotunda.
The following are requirements for entry to the vegie swap:
- Masks must be worn at all times.
- Hands must be sanitised or washed with soap.
- Social distancing must be maintained.
- Contact tracing details must be filled in. (QR code available).
- Anyone not complying will be asked to leave and must do so.
- Please bring your own drink bottle if required.
Where: MOCG, Somers Avenue 150m north of the NETS Stadium
When: 11am – 12 noon, Saturday 16 January, 2021
For those new to the swap, you are welcome with or without produce to swap. Swaps include fruit, vegetables, herbs. eggs, preserves, plants, seeds and miscellaneous items such as bread starter or kombucha scoby.
People (you do not have to be a member) arrive between 11am – 11.25am. Announcements happen at 11.30am and after that people choose within reason what they would like to take home, with the swap ending at noon. There is no individual swapping or money exchanged. The swap is an opportunity to develop our community spirit, meet new people, make new friends and have some fun.
