The Inquiry and Advisory Committee for the North-East Link has asked for submissions to the Environmental Effects Statement. Sustainable Macleod has made a short submission urging that the NEL plan be amended to include a tunnel from the M3 Freeway, rather than the open cut proposal that would mean an open freeway alongside Greensborough Highway. Macleod Organic Community Garden Open!

Costa Opens Macleod Organic Community Garden After 3 years of construction the Macleod Organic Community Garden was officially opened by Costa Georgiadis (AKA Costa the Garden Gnome), of Gardening Australia. Costa spoke to a gathering of over 200 people, including garden members, local politicians and the public and inspired and delighted us all for well over half an hour. Costa generously donated his time on the day.
